Old Rogue Painting Services

It’s alive! It’s ALIVE!

Hi there everyone. My name is Adam and I’m a painter of miniature war gaming models.  I do it professionally, full-time, almost every day.  There’s hardly an army in the Games Workshop model line I haven’t painted, and I’m working hard to close the gap in the Warmachine/Hordes line as well.  This website is going to grow along with the business as things go forward; it’s my hope to have a slew of new photographs of past and present commissions up here in the next few days, and for the quality of these photos to improve along with the website

I’ll be the first to admit that I’m new at the whole “working for yourself” concept.  I’m a corporate refugee who looked around one day and thought that I could be a whole heck of a lot happier doing something that I loved.  So the photos aren’t going to be top quality straight out of the gate.  Neither will the writing (though that B.A. in English might finally come in handy!) though I hope to improve in that regard as well.

Some folks ask me about my painting.  I primarily use GW’s paint line, mostly because I’m used to it.  I paint to a solid seven or eight most of the time.  While I do have several models that I’ve taken some serious time on, my goal is to have a very tight turnaround time on commission work.  My clients are generally folks who don’t have time to paint and don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars to have an army done.  Most of my client base lives in the United Kingdom or the United States, but I’ve worked with people from all over the world.  Many of them come to me a week or two before a big tournament and ask me to paint an army for them.  This is my specialty, and I hope to have several features on this site that showcase this sort of mad attempt to get an army looking good, unique, and playable inside a short amount of time.

I’ll update daily, or near enough – keep checking back and keep your fingers crossed for me.  Welcome to Old Rogue Painting Services – full steam ahead!
