Here’s some of the stuff I’ve been working on recently – lots of Khador and Trolls still. Also a Gator army I did early this year, for reference.
More to come 🙂 Happy painting, my friends!

Nagash promises to be one of those “home alone all weekend” projects – haven’t really thought him through yet aside from some gold-and-black armor, I think.
The start of a Circle commission I’ve taken from a nice guy named Matthew – should have these finished up by next week.
Some Llallese (not sure on the spelling!) Gun Mages – just threw them up on Ebay, we’ll see how they do. Had a blast painting them, almost sorry to put them up for sale.
Una the Falconer. Again for Ebay – real shame about this model is how tricky it was to put together, but she finally held!
Other News –
So the troll army sold to a wonderful young gentleman who hopefully will get a great deal of enjoyment out of it. I hope to do more work for him shortly, so stay tuned for an Extreme Dire Troll sculpt and some runebearers! Also I have business cards now, so be sure to remind me to give you a few when we meet up next!
Until then,
Adam
So these are my first attempt at selling a fully painted army on my own! This is a Miserable Meat Mountain Trollbloods list, with some optional extras. It came to me in pretty poor shape, traded to me by a friend who wanted some extra Skorne stuff I had lying about. I stripped it and refurbished it and now I daresay it looks pretty good! So I’m looking for a reasonable buyer to ship it out to. I’ll include the stat cards (and a ton of other Troll cards) and am asking 750 plus 20 for shipping. I’m open to reasonable negotiation, too.
These have all sold – but they’re another few examples of what I do and how I do it. A lot of this was in varying states of disrepair – model refurbishment is a favorite part of the hobby / job for me.
Keep painting my friends!

Morning all!
Quick update – business is good, getting the business cards printed. Can’t say things have really taken off yet but I’m trying to give it time. Gotten a few largish contracts this month and am already making more money than I did at corporate.
The business has only been live for about two months, and I’m learning to deal with some awkward situations. One of them has been negative criticism – normally I’m all for people critiquing my work, but the stuff that’s genuinely meant to be hurtful or backhanded makes my guts knot. I’ve been trying to think about why this is – at corporate I just sort of shrugged it off, but when it’s talk about my work I reckon I must just take it personally. Suppose I’m going to have to figure out a way to just think of it as people being jerks and move on with my business.
Anyhow, going to post a few photos for you all to enjoy – need to make some more money this month and buy a real lightbox, of course. After the business cards arrive maybe!
Signing off,
Adam
It’s alive! It’s ALIVE!
Hi there everyone. My name is Adam and I’m a painter of miniature war gaming models. I do it professionally, full-time, almost every day. There’s hardly an army in the Games Workshop model line I haven’t painted, and I’m working hard to close the gap in the Warmachine/Hordes line as well. This website is going to grow along with the business as things go forward; it’s my hope to have a slew of new photographs of past and present commissions up here in the next few days, and for the quality of these photos to improve along with the website
I’ll be the first to admit that I’m new at the whole “working for yourself” concept. I’m a corporate refugee who looked around one day and thought that I could be a whole heck of a lot happier doing something that I loved. So the photos aren’t going to be top quality straight out of the gate. Neither will the writing (though that B.A. in English might finally come in handy!) though I hope to improve in that regard as well.
Some folks ask me about my painting. I primarily use GW’s paint line, mostly because I’m used to it. I paint to a solid seven or eight most of the time. While I do have several models that I’ve taken some serious time on, my goal is to have a very tight turnaround time on commission work. My clients are generally folks who don’t have time to paint and don’t want to shell out thousands of dollars to have an army done. Most of my client base lives in the United Kingdom or the United States, but I’ve worked with people from all over the world. Many of them come to me a week or two before a big tournament and ask me to paint an army for them. This is my specialty, and I hope to have several features on this site that showcase this sort of mad attempt to get an army looking good, unique, and playable inside a short amount of time.
I’ll update daily, or near enough – keep checking back and keep your fingers crossed for me. Welcome to Old Rogue Painting Services – full steam ahead!
